Embark on the unbeaten track adventure of Northern Tanzania. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your Chatama guide transfers you to Pink Flamingo Lodge in Moshi town. The next day you drive up Kilimanjaro to the Shira plateau at 3407 meters for a day hike, then descend to Kambi ya Tembo camp in West Kilimanjaro. The next day you drive to Lake Natron — a breeding site for flamingos near the active Oldonyo Lengai Volcano. You spend two nights here. Due to the warm weather at Lake Natron, you climb the volcano at night to reach the rims of the crater at sunrise. On a lucky day you witness volcanic activities inside the crater. After Lake Natron, you drive to the Northern Serengeti via the Eastern gate for three nights near the Mara River — riding along the river to hunt for herds of wildebeest crossing, exploring riverbanks and open plains flooded with dense herds of animals. You then drive to Central Serengeti for two nights before heading to the Ngorongoro Crater for two final nights — a full day descending into the caldera before driving to Arusha for your departure flight.

DAY 1
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your Chatama Safari Tour Guide ensures a smooth transfer to Pink Flamingo Lodge in Moshi town for an overnight stay. Enjoy a great view of both peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro from this beautiful boutique lodge on your next sunrise.

DAY 2
After an early full breakfast at the lodge, you drive to Western Kilimanjaro and ascend to the Shira plateau at 3407 meters — the Morum pit on Kilimanjaro mountain. You stop here for your body to acclimatize, then proceed up with the assistance and guidance of a Mountain Guide on the day trail. After 3 hours of hiking, you enjoy lunch on the mountain set out by your guides. After taking your time on the plateau, you descend and head to Kambi ya Tembo camp for dinner under the stars.

DAY 3
After an early cup of coffee and a snack, you venture out for an early AM game drive to track down the big cats in the sunrise over the open plains adjoining the Kambi ya Tembo concession. After a short morning drive, you return for full breakfast at the camp. After breakfast, you load up and leave for Lake Natron — a breeding site for flamingos near the Oldonyo Lengai Active Volcano. You arrive late afternoon. Enjoy an evening and dinner under the stars.

DAY 4
Due to the prevailing warm weather at Lake Natron, you climb the volcano at night to reach the rims of the crater at sunrise. On a lucky day, you witness volcanic activities inside the crater. After enough time along the rims, you descend. Upon reaching the foot of the mountain, your Chatama guide drives you back to camp for breakfast and some leisure time before lunch. In the evening, your guide drives you to the shores of Lake Natron for a sundowner. Enjoy another night at Lake Natron.

DAY 5
After an early breakfast, you load up and drive to the Northern Serengeti via the Eastern gate — Cleins Gate. You arrive in the afternoon at the Ang'ata migration camp and spend the rest of the day leisurely at the camp.

DAY 6
Early breakfast, then an extended morning game drive taking packed lunch to eat out in the bush. You explore this beautiful part of the Serengeti — riding along the Mara River to hunt for herds of wildebeest crossing, exploring riverbanks and open plains flooded with dense herds of animals. You return to camp late afternoon for a break before dinner.

DAY 7
Another full day in the Northern Serengeti. Extended game drives with packed lunch exploring the Mara River banks and the vast open plains. The Northern Serengeti in peak season is packed with the most concentrated wildlife in Africa.

DAY 8
Today after breakfast, your Chatama guide drives you towards Central Serengeti, carrying packed lunch. You arrive at the Baobab Central Serengeti camp in the late afternoon for check-in and leisure time before dinner.

DAY 9
After a very early breakfast, you drive to Ngorongoro. You descend on to the crater floor and spend a full day of game drives enjoying the wonderful animal sightings. Later in the day, you ascend to the rims of the crater and drive to Kitela Lodge for check-in and dinner.

DAY 10
Today you drive to Arusha city. On route, you visit the Tanzanite Center to learn about and possibly buy Tanzanite, and you have time in curio shops. Later you arrive in Arusha and check in at a lodge. Enjoy your time as you wait for your departure flight the next day.

Depending on your flight time, your guide drives you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for check-in and your international departure flight.
