FounderFounder & Head Guide
Peter Chatama
Born in 1977 in the Fipa land alongside Katavi National Park, Peter earned a B.Sc. in Wildlife Management from Sokoine University of Agriculture before teaching tourism in Arusha. In 2007 he joined Singita Serengeti, training in both South Africa and Tanzania, and guided there until 2025 - contributing to the brand's international guiding awards along the way. For Peter, conservation is a value passed between generations, not a slogan.
